| The Insider 6.29.06 http://www.theinsideronline.com/celeb/4329/ June 29, 2006 The Fresh Faces of Fall TV Every fall brings a TV schedule filled with a slew of new shows trying to capture viewers' attention, and with them come several fresh faces hoping to become household names. Here now are just a few of the young women who will be gracing the small screen later this year: ROSEMARIE DeWITT After guest appearances in episodes of "Rescue Me" and supporting work in the boxing drama 'Cinderella Man,' Rosemarie DeWitt now steps up to leading lady status in the tense new FOX drama "Standoff." Co-starring RON LIVINGSTON ('Office Space'), "Standoff" revolves around two top-notch negotiatiors (Rosemarie and Ron) in the FBI's Crisis Negotiation Unit. But while the hostage crises they find themselves in are certainly fraught with danger, their occupational hazards are no less volatile than the relationship between the two lead characters ... who are romantically involved! SOFIA VERGARA Over on ABC, the stunning Sofia Vergara, who has been seen in such films as 'Lords of Dogtown' and 'Four Brothers,' finds herself mixed up with a couple of guys who plan to rob MICK JAGGER -- yes, that Mick Jagger! -- in the comedy "Let's Rob..." It was created by former DAVID LETTERMAN writers, so we can expect the show to have a unique take on life. HAYDEN PANETTIERE Sixteen-year-old Hayden Panettiere brings her spunky youthfulness to NBC's upcoming sci-fi drama "Heroes," which centers on ordinary individuals, from all walks of life, who wake up one morning to discover they each have extraordinary powers and abilities. Hayden has appeared in episodes of "Ally McBeal" and the short-lived "The Book of Daniel" as well as the family film 'Racing Stripes.' SARAH RAMOS When the new CW network -- combining the best of The WB and UPN -- launches this fall, the hope will be that the drama "Runaway" will connect with audiences. And with perky 15-year-old Sarah Ramos on board as part of a family trying to elude law enforcement, the CW will most likely have a, er, runaway hit. LIZZY CAPLAN Will "The Class" do for Lizzy Caplan what "Friends" did for JENNIFER ANISTON, LISA KUDROW and COURTENEY COX-ARQUETTE? Well, with former "Friends" executive producer DAVID CRANE behind this brand-new comedy on CBS, Lizzy is certainly in good hands. "The Class" follows the lives of a group of twentysomethings who were once in the third grade together and, like "Friends," features an ensemble cast of young, talented, up-and-coming stars.
